What does it mean that Community Care Network is Faith based?
At Community Care Network, we believe in the golden rule: to treat others the way you'd like to be treated. (In fact, it was Jesus who said this!) So, as a Christian nonprofit, we seek to follow Jesus in this rule and love all people, regardless of background and seek to build bridges of friendship. Our community builders are trained to form honest relationships and to serve all residents, not just those of a specific faith.
All Community Builders are responsible for two resident activities per month. Typically, one is social and friendship-building, and one is more spiritual or educational. Our mission to love our neighbors as ourselves means that we don't just want residents to have fun, but to restore hope in every area of their lives: social, emotional, vocational, and spiritual. Our community builders creatively approach each event to provide the best fit for the residents they serve.
What types of activities do Community Builders plan?
Community Builders exist to support both residents and apartment management. Many of our communities have found that Community Builders are a great asset to management because residents will often confide in them about issues or problems in the complex that they might be unwilling to report to the office. By acting as a liaison between residents and management, Community Builders form bridges of friendship across boundaries.
How do Community Builders interact with apartment management?
